50th Anniversary Celebration Schedule of Events
A Silent Auction for Gift Baskets and Gift Certificates
Themed gift baskets and gift certificates will be auctioned on May 18th with proceeds benefiting the costs associated with the parish’s 50th Anniversary activities. Faith Formation Classes and many parishioners have created the themed baskets such as a Chocolate Lover’s Basket, Wine Lover’s Basket, Family Movie Night Basket, etc. Gift certificates/items from local businesses will also be featured. The baskets will be on display in our Fellowship Room from May 3rd through May 18th. Be sure to check them out.
Brunch at Home Town Buffet
Calling all supporters of Sacred Heart Church! Bring a friend or two and join us for brunch at the Home Town Buffet Restaurant in Manchester on May 17th from 8:00AM through 11:00AM. Home Town Buffet will generously donate a percentage of their proceeds during these hours as a fundraiser for the parish’s 50th Anniversary activities. Call the parish office for your ticket or see someone from Sacred Heart Parish on May 17th when you come to the restaurant.
Parish Picnic
Join in the fun! On June 8th we will hold our annual parish picnic on the parish grounds. Children’s activities and food galore!!
50th Anniversary Celebration & Dinner
Join us on June 29th for a Celebration Mass, and then follow us to Maneeley’s in South Windsor for our banquet celebration. Bishop Michael Cote, Father Edward Dempsey, and radio celebrity Mike Stacy will help us celebrate. Ticket prices: $35 per person, $10 for children 10 years and younger; under 2 years – free.
3 ½ Days of Christmas
We will end our anniversary year on December 28th with television personality Frank Runyon’s 3 ½ Days of Christmas. Frank’s whimsical show will inspire and entertain us as we reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Look for our parishioners to take a part in the show!
