An All-New Triduum!

Sacred Heart Church in Vernon is yoked to Saint Maurice Parish in Bolton, so this year, our parishes are coming together to celebrate the triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil in the same place! This year, our combined celebration will be at Sacred Heart in Vernon.

Join the combined parishes of Saint Maurice and Sacred Heart on Holy Thursday at 7:30pm, Good Friday at 3pm and the night before Easter at 8pm at Sacred Heart Church, 550 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon.

Palm Sunday follows the usual Sunday schedule: Sacred Heart’s Palm Sunday Mass is at 10:45am in Vernon, and Saint Maurice’s is at 8:45am in Bolton.

Holy Thursday‘s 7:30pm Mass will be followed by the Feast of Breads – you can bring your favorite breads to share, or just come to taste the yummy baked goods.

Good Friday‘s 3pm liturgy is followed by a meatless Soup & Bread Supper at 5pm. Good Friday is a day of fast & abstinence, so why not have your main meal with us? The Living Stations of the Cross, presented by the Youth Group, follows at 7pm.

The Easter Vigil, the mother of all liturgies, has it all; fire, candles, water, the story of Us, the return of the Alleluia, and much more. This liturgy, which always begins after nightfall, will begin at 8:00pm this year. (No 5:45 Mass this day!)

And for Easter Sunday, the parishes return to their normal schedules and locations – Sacred Heart’s Easter Sunday Mass is at 10:45am in Vernon, and Saint Maurice’s is at 8:45am in Bolton.
