sacred heart

Our celebration of this Carnival season ends with the rapidly-approaching celebration of Mardi Gras!

Plan to join us as we celebrate Fat Tuesday this year in style on February 24 at 6:30pm.

It’s a pot-luck festivity, so it’s time to start thinking about what you’d like to bring. Make your most decadent and lusty dishes, because this festival has to carry us through the entire austere season of Lent!

Sign up sheets for the pot-luck dinner will be at the entrances of the Church.

Included with the pot-luck dinner will be the selection of prayer partners for Lent.

Plan on attending and remember to take this opportunity to show off your crazy hats and beads!

You are invited to gather with family and friends for the funeral of Edward Kayan at Sacred Heart on Monday, February 16 at 10:30am.

A reception will follow.

Please join us in a celebration of the life of Celeste Milkie on the occasion of her 90th birthday! February 8, 2009 at noon, following the 10:45 Mass.     A memory book will be created for Celeste. Please bring any pictures you are willing to donate. (Be sure to put a description of the event and names of people on the back of the picture) Cake, drinks and light refreshments will be served. No gifts, please.

Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (WAIM) will be conducting its annual Grinder Sale beginning the week of January 17 & 18. Orders for grinders will be taken after each Mass on the weekend of January 17 & 18. Grinders available for order are: Turkey, Salami, Ham, Tuna and Vegetable. The grinders are $5 each. Grinders will be delivered to the Church after Mass on January 25.

We usher in a New Year as we always do: celebrating Mary, the Mother of God at Masses on Wednesday at 5pm and Thursday at 10am.

It’s This Weekend!
