Christmas Masses for 2009 will be celebrated:
Come and be reconciled – Wednesday, December 16, 2009. The communal penance service begins at 7:00pm.
The Church unites to celebrate the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (in the womb of her mother) on December 8.
Gather and give thanks to God for the blessings we have received – Thursday, November 25, 2009 at Seven O’clock in the evening.
Although Assumption is not a holyday of obligation this year, it is still a holyday, and you should probably still go to church and celebrate it. Masses are Saturday, August 15 at 8:30am at Saint Maurice and at 10:30am at Sacred Heart.
We celebrate the Ascension of Jesus on Thursday at 9am and 7pm. Please join us!
Our Lenten observances for this year begin on February 25, 2009, Ash Wednesday.
Services include
Mass with Distribution of Ashes at 9am,
Liturgy of the Word with Distribution of Ashes at 4pm (convenient for our faith formation students) and
Liturgy of the Word with Distribution of Ashes at 7pm.
For Catholics, Ash Wednesday is a day of fast and abstinence.
