Thursday – The Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Thursday, March 24 – 7:30pm
This Mass begins the Triduum and highlights the Last Supper and the Washing of Feet. The Feast of Breads follows (bring some yummy breads, if you wish!)
Friday – Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion
Friday, March 25 – 3:00pm
This service is not a Mass – because it is actually a continuation of Thursday night’s celebration. A retelling of The Passion of the Lord (different from that on Palm Sunday), Solemn Prayers of Intercession, and Adoration of the Cross feature prominently. The Eucharist, reserved from Holy Thursday, is received.
Soup and Bread Supper follows at 5pm.
Living Stations of the Cross – Friday, March 25 – 7pm
This beloved devotional is movingly acted by our talented youth. A crowd favorite!

It features the lighting of the Easter Fire, the Exsultet, the 17 Readings of Salvation history from creation to resurrection, Blessing of the Font, Renewal of Baptismal Promises, Eucharistic Prayer, Communion, and Blessing. Fellowship following.

Let us receive the announcement of Lent with joy!
For if our forefather Adam had kept the fast,
We would not have been deprived of paradise.
O Lord, who took flesh from the Virgin
in the fullness of time,
Call me back and restore me to Eden!
– Byzantine Vespers
We begin our celebration of Lent with the imposition of ashes on
- Wednesday at 9:00am
- Wednesday at 7:00pm
You thumbed grit
into my furrowed brow,
with the sign of mortality,
the dust of last year’s palms.
The cross you traced
seared, smudged skin,
and I recalled other ashes
into my heart
by those who love too little
or not at all.
– Elizabeth-Anne Vanek in Extraordinary Time
(Ash Wednesday is a day of fast and abstinence)
